油画最早起源于哪里？哪个国家？
油画，从一个油字，就可以窥探出其本质。中文应该是由英文oil painting直接翻译过来，说明绘画过程中是需要大量使用到“油”这个物质。油画之所以叫油画是因为绘画时会用快干性的植物油比如亚麻仁油、**油、核桃油、松节油等调和颜料，并在亚麻布，纸板或木板上进行绘制。画面所附着的颜料有较强的硬度，当画面干燥后，能长期保持光泽。凭借颜料的遮盖力和透明性能较充分地表现描绘对象，色彩丰富，立体质感强。油画是西洋画的主要画种之一。
追根溯源，就不得不说到油画的前身蛋彩画。蛋彩画早在3000多年前的古埃及墓室壁画中就大量使用。后经罗马传到欧洲，成为文艺复兴时期最重要的绘画技艺。当时许多名家比如乔托、达芬奇、米开朗琪罗、提香等都大量使用蛋彩画技艺进行创作。后经尼德兰（现在的荷兰）画家扬·凡·艾克（Jan Van Eyck）对绘画材料等加以改良后发扬光大，并逐渐取代了蛋彩画，成为主流。扬·凡·艾克也因其对油画的独特贡献，被誉为“油画之父”。现在被大家所熟知的《蒙娜丽莎》就是西方油画作品的典型代表。
油画最早起源于哪里？哪个国家？
油画是西方绘画中最重要的绘画之一。从原料上来看，油画是在亚麻布、纸板或木板上用快干植物油（例如罂粟油、亚麻籽油、核桃油等）绘制而成。根据历史相关资料，油画最早是由阿富汗人发明的。大约在7至10世纪，阿富汗人就用油画所使用的原料在佛教洞穴中绘制佛像。后来，油画技术被引入欧洲。 1200年，西奥费尔-鲁济罗斯在《多样的艺术形式》中介绍用亚麻籽油和阿拉伯树脂混合起来的油画技术。
根据记录，在油画发明之前，主要使用一种叫做“坦培拉”的技术来绘画。在文艺复兴时期，达芬奇、拉斐尔、米开朗基罗的三位画家都很出名，但他们当时的画作并非我们现在所说的纯油画，而是“坦培拉”。15世纪的荷兰画家凡·爱克在原有基础上，发明了这种容易干涸的油彩颜料的绘图方法，因此，他被称为油画创始人。从十四世纪末到十五世纪初，德国画家丢勒可能是第一个在油画上创作签名的人。在十八世纪，最流行的是古典画派，鲁本斯、达维特、安格尔是其中的代表。
在19世纪，许多油画派系纷纷出现。籍里柯、德拉克洛瓦为首的浪漫派；法国画家库贝尔和其他人创造了批判现实主义学派；法国画家莫奈、德加、毕沙罗、雷诺阿和其他人创造了印象派；修拉创立点彩派；荷兰画家梵高、法国画家高更和其他人创造了后印象派。直到19世纪末到20世纪初，法国画家塞尚才开创了现代主义绘画，被称为现代主义之父。
在二十世纪，也是创建许多绘画学派的时代。法国画家马蒂斯和其他人创造了野兽派；俄罗斯画家康定斯基、马列维奇和其他人创建了抽象学校；意大利画家Marinetti、 Kara、 Pochini、 Rossolo和其他人创造了未来主义派；法国画家比Kapua、 Dussan和其他人创造了达达派；挪威画家蒙克在德国创作了表现主义者；西班牙画家毕加索开办了创始学校；西班牙画家达利、法国画家克利和其他人创造了超现实主义派；荷兰画家蒙德里安创造了几何冷抽象派；美国画家波洛克开创了动作抽象派；劳森伯格和其他人创建了波普画派；美国画家杜尚创作了一部后现代主义绘画，被称为后现代之父，等等。
在20世纪70年代，德国、英国和其他欧洲国家创造了一个新的表现主义绘画;美国画家创造了超现实（照片写实）学校;法国画家创造了视觉派（光效应画派）。
在接下来的几十年里，世界油画从未见过新的变化和新的流派。直到21世纪，世界油画史上最新的绘画类型诞生于中国。
