口腔（oral cavity）是消化道的起始部分。前借口裂与外界相通，后经咽峡与咽相续。口腔内有牙、舌等器官。口腔的前壁为唇、侧壁为颊、顶为腭、口腔底为黏膜和肌等结构。口腔借上、下牙弓分为前外侧部的口腔前庭（oral vestibule）和后内侧部的固有口腔（oral cavity proper）；

保持口腔清新的食物
1、水
适量喝水能让牙龈保持湿润，刺激分泌唾液。吃完东西后喝水，顺道带走残留口中的食物残渣，不让细菌得到养分，借机作怪而损害牙齿。饮法：每个人一天需要喝6～8杯水，尤其吃过东西之后，如果无法立刻刷牙，切记喝一杯水来清洗口腔，减少一些蛀牙机会。
2、薄荷
薄荷叶里含有单帖烯类化合物，可经由血液循环到达肺部，在呼吸时感觉气味清新。吃法：吃完一顿大鱼大肉之后，喝一杯不加糖的薄荷茶，可以去腻、缓解腹胀感；如果你苦恼于满嘴的葱、蒜辛味而不敢开口交谈，建议嚼2～3片新鲜薄荷叶或者荷兰芹（parsley），都有助于去除这些令人尴尬的气味。
